I had fallen from the face of the earth and have reappeared once again! I hope you all did not miss me too much.
Just as the title suggests, I wanted to tell you all about how on May 20th I made one year working at my current [massage] job. Therefore, this blog post was written only to briefly congratulate myself and give myself a tap on the back for staying at my current job for so long.
Are you wondering why I am congratulating myself for something that most of you might consider so normal? Well, that is because this is the first time in my ‘adult’ life that I have ever worked for anyone for so long. Are you shocked? Yeah, me too!
Please let me explain. I am the type of person who gets bored with things very quickly. In order for something to hold my interest for a long time I need it to be interesting, competitive and compelling, thrilling and something I can always learn from and lose myself into.
Though I have done quite a number of jobs, I could not find a job that could hold my interest for long and so I would end up quitting these jobs in 6 months or less. Actually very few jobs have I worked for 6 months.
However, my massaging job gives me a sort of satisfaction I have never felt before. Though the company I work for leaves a lot to be desire, the massaging job itself makes me happy. Despite me always complaining about how much back and body pains I now have thanks to this job, this is so far the only job I can see myself doing for a long time. I think I have finally found my calling!
So, I am grateful I am able to find a job that I very much enjoy doing. Even though it may not be in the field that I have studied for but oh well…
Have you, dear readers, already found your dream job?

Happy belated International Women’s Day! I hope that all you wonderful women of the world enjoyed your day yesterday. And on a second note, Happy Birthday to my dear older brother, Cornelius. I hope you are healthy and doing well.
Today I will be posting a poem I recently wrote called My Frozen Heart. I have not posted any poetry or any of my writing on my blog for several months because, honestly, I have been lacking in the creativity department for quite some time. Though it has been a while, I hope you enjoy this very simple poem about when a person’s heart turns cold for many reasons and circumstances they more than likely have no control over.
If you have any comments about it please feel free to write me because I would love to hear your commentaries and criticisms, if there is any. Enjoy and until next time! Take care and have a great day!
My Frozen Heart
My heart used to be so warm,
But now it has turned so cold.
It was frozen over by time,
Frozen by this unforgiving, cold world.
Do I regret it?
Maybe I do, Maybe I don’t,
But there is no longer any hurt
So in the end, I guess, maybe I won’t.
Will my heart ever beat again?
Maybe it won’t, maybe it might,
But after looking at my frozen but beautifully protected heart
I cannot help but think inspite of myself, ‘Oh what a beautiful sight…‘
TGIF everyone! How are you this Friday afternoon? Some of you may be probably jumping for joy that you do not need to work for the weekends. People like me however, curse our luck to have jobs that require you to still work on the weekends. Although, to be honest I chose this job myself. 🤔😂
Anyway, for those few people who still follow my blog and is interested in my poetry and writing, I have decided to cancel my poetry night I was thinking on doing January 28, until further notice. There are some things that are going on that I need to focus on and prioritise right now and the poetry night event is just not one of them. So until I get my S***t together I will let you know when I will try to host the poetry night.
So, I appologise for all the changing and cancelling I have been doing until now but please be patient with me. Until further notice, I hope you all take care and have a great day.
How are you all doing? Recently I have decided to organize my very own and not to mention, my very first event. What better time to have it than for when Christmas is right around the corner, right!? Christmas somehow almost always gets people in a good mood and I want to be a part of that happy, good mood. Who in their right mind wouldn’t want to be? Continue reading
I think it has been a little over two weeks if not more since my last blog post and I just wanted to share a few of those photos taken from a third photoshoot I have had with my photographer friend Mick. You all remember Mick, right? I think these photos came out pretty good if I do say so myself. They were quite classy. With these pictures, we were trying to play around with the idea of the human shape and how direct and indirect light falls on the human frame allowing the viewer to view the body in many different ways, which I find pretty amazing.
