Walking home alone

Hello Tomodachi’s,

How are you all doing this nice Monday afternoon? Here is another creative writing prompt I had written two days ago on the same writing app, Writco, I have been writing about a lot lately. Hope you all enjoy it and if you have the time let me know your thoughts. Have a great day.

A snippet from one of the stories I am writing

Hey, Tomodachi’s!

Good day to you all near and far. I hope you are having a great day!

For this week’s blog post, I wanted to post a snippet from one of the three novels I am trying to write called The Forlorn One. About a little over three years ago I posted the first snippet from this story and since then never posted anything else again after that. I believe around that time was also the last time I wrote anything for this story because I was experiencing writer’s block for the longest time. So, after a while, I decided to stop and gave myself a break from writing. And as you can see a lot of time has passed by. Therefore, I am thinking of starting back up again after not writing any stories for such a long. Enough is enough, don’t you think? I feel a little embarrassed that it took me this long to get back to writing. But whatever… The most important thing is that I am starting back again.

Anyway, below is another snippet of my novel and I hope you enjoy reading it. And of course, please let me know your thoughts. Take care and have a great day.

Unapologetically Black

Hey, Hey, Hey Tomodachi’s!

It feels like it has almost been forever since the last time I wrote anything on my blog. I hope you can forgive me for pulling another one of my disappearing acts on you all. I have missed blogging after not blogging for the past three months.

If you follow my Instagram and other social media pages I recently posted on my Instagram page explaining the reasons for my disappear and how I would be back, out and about on my social media pages and blog. And here I am! With a new poem! Continue reading

My Frozen Heart

Hello Tomodachi’s,

Happy belated International Women’s Day! I hope that all you wonderful women of the world enjoyed your day yesterday. And on a second note, Happy Birthday to my dear older brother, Cornelius. I hope you are healthy and doing well.

Today I will be posting a poem I recently wrote called My Frozen Heart. I have not posted any poetry or any of my writing on my blog for several months because, honestly, I have been lacking in the creativity department for quite some time. Though it has been a while, I hope you enjoy this very simple poem about when a person’s heart turns cold for many reasons and circumstances they more than likely have no control over.

If you have any comments about it please feel free to write me because I would love to hear your commentaries and criticisms, if there is any. Enjoy and until next time! Take care and have a great day!

My Frozen Heart

My heart used to be so warm,

But now it has turned so cold.

It was frozen over by time,

Frozen by this unforgiving, cold world.

Do I regret it?

Maybe I do, Maybe I don’t,

But there is no longer any hurt

So in the end, I guess, maybe I won’t.

Will my heart ever beat again?

Maybe it won’t, maybe it might,

But after looking at my frozen but beautifully protected heart

I cannot help but think inspite of myself, ‘Oh what a beautiful sight…

A poetic kind of day

Konnichiwa Tomodahi’s,

How is everyone doing? I was just thinking about how it has been a while since I last posted anything poetic on my blog. Today feels like a poetic kind of day if you know what I mean. So, I decided to post another poem of mine since it has been quite a while since I last posted one of my own.

Though I have already posted this poem some time back, I made some changes to it and I was wondering if you could spot the difference, if you are even able to find the previous version of this poem, that is.

If you do not care much about spotting the difference between this poem and the previous version then I hope you just enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing and improving on it. I hope you take care and have a great day.
