A poem for the ending of March

Hey Tomodachi’s,

How are you all this wonderful Friday afternoon? I am doing perfectly fine. My 29th birthday was speny peacefully with my family last week Sunday and I am trying to live my life the best way I can, one day at a time.

Anyway, I thought it was quite a while since I last posted a poem of mine. So why not post one to mark the ending of March! I hope you all enjoy the weekend to the fullest. Take care and have a great day! 🤗

Unrequited Love

Love is like a river
Where my tears flow endlessly
And later collects to become the sea
Though I may hate the taste of its saltiness
I cannot help myself
I cannot help but languidly swim in my own demise and sorrow

Love is like hot, seething lava
That flows out from my very depths,
The depth where many a strong emotions reside
Emotions that I never even thought existed within me
That I am even surprised by these very emotions

Love is so damn confusing and chaotic
Like an out of tune orchestra that is trying to get in sync
It messes me up and plays me for a fool
Often I find myself asking myself “What the hell are you DOING, you lovesick fool?”

I thought at some level I understood what love was
But how so wrong I was a this time
What I once perceived as right is wrong,
What I perceived as wrong is now right
They say that love is blind,
And yes, that is definitely true,
No matter what you do even if you pick my heart to pieces
Love tends to make me look the other way

Instead of my mind controlling my thoughts and actions
Many a times I find myself doing and saying things that I never would have done before,
If I was just in the right frame of mind
My emotions now control my body
And I have no say in the matter at all whatsoever.

If only I was not blinded by the bright rays of this unrequited love.
