WhatisAngieuptoMondays: I had quite a productive weekend.

Hello, new readers and readers who have stuck around with me for some time until now, good evening and welcome. How was your weekend? Was your weekend as productive as mine? Honestly, my weekend has been quite productive if I do say so myself. More  productive than it has ever been in a long time. Not to mention, I am now working as an au pair (YAY!) and after that job I had to travel by train to attend volleyball practice on late Friday afternoon in preparation for the sports day occurring the next day.

Besides running around the court like a crab during the volleyball competition I tried my best to play the sport to the best of my abilities, which are close to zero to none. I only participated in the Sports Day event because I enjoy playing sports and exercising, not that I am great in doing it. (Photos and videos showing off my crab-like skills shall not be shown here, 😛 ) Anyway, my team lost miserably to the other volleyball teams, which was disappointing after all of that training we did. However, no matter how much you may try, you cannot teach an amateur, like me, how to play volleyball after just about four volleyball practices of two hours. Especially, since high school was the last time I ever played volleyball and that was at least around 9 to 10 years ago. So yes, I am getting old. 😥

Later that day I also participated in an obstacle course race where the winner would get to go home with the prize money raised by those who paid and signed up for the race. Though I did not win in the end, I think I did pretty well for it being my first obstacle course race.

On Saturday, I was moving around so much  that my whole body was complaining about it the next day. On Sunday afternoon I hung out with some friends as we walked around the Amsterdam streets like tourists as we ate and drank beer.
