A big thank you to those of you who voted for me for the DC Pearls event!

Hello all. I just wanted to inform everyone that unfortunately I did not win the nominations for the DC Pearls event, but nonetheless it was a good night. I went along with my very good friend Kelley, and we enjoyed ourselves. So all was not lost, lol. 😛

I was little disappointed, though, that I did not get the chance to promote my work due to certain unexpected events that occurred and that was the whole reason why I was so enthusiastic about the event. I was thinking that I would finally get  a chance to promote my work in an official setting but it was for naught. However, things happen and it is not the end of the world. Another chance will most likely come around where I will be able to promote myself and my work properly.

I would like to thank all of you who have voted for me in the past few weeks and those who encouraged me until now! It all meant a lot to me and if ever in the future I get nominated again I hope you would be willing to do it again. I am very grateful that I even got nominated at all. It was quite an experience. Especially, trying to (aggressively) promote myself as a brand and my work which is not my forte and something that I am not quite used to doing as yet.

Anyway, I would like to congratulate the nominees that won in their category and the the person who won the Dutch Caribbean Most Outstanding Pearl. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves last night and continue to doing what you do!
